The following courses will be offered during the Fall 2016 semester:
PLC Troubleshooting (Allen Bradley SLC 500)
The Programmable Controller Troubleshooting Learning System teaches programming and troubleshooting of programmable controllers and their use in industrial applications. The hands-on trainer offers real world applications with relay-controlled start/stop power station, terminal strip I/O test points, operator station, and machine automation station. Participants study various applications with live devices by plugging in one or more of the many application panels available (such as electro-pneumatic actuator, electric motor, analog devices and BCD/LED display).

Motor Control/VFD
Students learn the fundamentals of motor control circuits using switching, relay logic and variable frequency drives. The hands-on trainer features a variable frequency AC drive, dual fuse block, emergency stop pushbutton with key-lock, multi-turn potentiometer for speed control, and three selector switches for general drive control, performing basic stop/start, ramping, and dynamic braking. A computerized fault insertion feature allows students to further develop their troubleshooting skills.
