RE: City of Scottsburg & Governor Eric Holcomb’s COVID- 19 Guideline to Close MASPark Offices – Effective Tuesday, March 24, 2020
Please note the following:
1) Governor Eric Holcomb has issued Executive Order 20-08 “Directive for Hoosiers to Stay at Home” due to the fact that the COVID-19 “… virus remains a serious threat to the health, safety, and welfare of all residents of Indiana, and further efforts are needed to address, control, and reduce the evolving threat posed by COVID-19.” And “… With the exceptions as outlined below (in Executive Order), all individuals currently living in the State of Indiana are ordered to stay at home or their place of residence, except as allowed in this Executive Order.”
The duration of this Executive Order “… shall be effective at 11:59 p.m. on March 24, 2020, and remain in full force and effect until 11:59 p.m. on April 6, 2020, unless I (Governor Holcomb) rescind, modifies, or extend this Executive Order.

2) Therefore, even though MASPark will be open to tenants who are “Essential Businesses,” the Mid-America Science Park is closed to the public and MASPark staff members have been directed to work at home. During this office closure, Mike Kiefer, MASPark Facility Manager, will continue to daily monitor the building.
3) Tenants who meet Governor Eric Holcomb’s Executive Order’s definition of “Essential Businesses and Operations” will have access to the building on an individual only basis. Your clients and other individuals are not be allowed to be in the facility under MASPark Guidelines aligned with Governor Holcomb’s Executive Order and for the safety of those tenants in the building conducting “Essential Business.”
4) Please continue to focus on protecting your health and that of your staff and family. It is difficult to experience this National COVID-19 critical problem without wanting to help others from your office. However, it is imperative that we respect the foundation for the Governor’s directive. We respectfully apologize for this inconvenience to you and your business, and we will focus our efforts during this period to assist you as completely as possible. Please let us know ways that we can assist you during this tough period or to accommodate your work.
