The Mid-America Science Park is pleased to announce the completion of its renovated Banquet Hall which is now available for audiences of up to 300 people. The Banquet Hall is another enhancement of the MASPark Worldwide Communications & Conference Center which attracted hundreds of visitors to Scott County last year for events like the National FFA Convention and Expo and the Mid-America Defense Conference. Companies such as Multi-Color and GKN Sinter Metals also used the conference center for training programs.
The renovated space will allow MASPark to attract larger events and conferences to Scott County. “This expansion makes Scott County even more appealing and competitive when it comes to hosting major events,” said Robert Peacock, executive director of the SCEDC. “Our stores, restaurants and hotels will see more visitors throughout the year, and that’s good for the local economy.”
The 5,000-square-foot Banquet Hall features state-of-the-art audio visual equipment including a 9×12-foot projection screen, a built-in stage with podium and a high-quality sound system. Other MASPark event spaces include: a Presentation Hall with theater-style seating for up to 120 people, multiple conference rooms that can accommodate up to 48 people and two Secure Rooms that are compliant with defense protocols.
