Vincennes University, in partnership with the Mid-America Science Park and Scott County Economic Development Corporation, will be offering a 15-week, hands-on industrial maintenance and machining training course in Scottsburg. The course begins January 8 and will run through April 18, 2018.
Students will learn skills needed for high-demand advanced manufacturing jobs in Southeast Indiana with curriculum developed by employers in collaboration with Vincennes University. All classes will be held at the Mid-America Science Park in Scottsburg.
The course will teach the following advanced manufacturing skills:
- Safety
- Blueprint Reading
- Precision Measurement
- Quality Control
- Machine Tools
- Manual Mill & Lathe
- Tool & Die Maintenance & Repair
- Welding
- Industrial Electric
- Pneumatics
- Hydraulics
- PLCs
WHEN: January 8 – April 18, 2018, Monday and Wednesday Evenings, 6:00-8:30 PM
COST TO ATTEND: $3,000 Registration Fee
