Visitors to MASPark.org can now go inside the facility via their laptops or mobile devices using a new feature called Google Maps Business View. MASPark recently launched the virtual tour to allow online visitors to get an up-close look of the science park.
MASPark is an early adopter of Google’s Business View, which leverages premium quality photo shoots powered by Street View technology. The new tool allows businesses to capture a 360-degree virtual tour that can be embedded in a company website. The tour can also be accessed via Google Search, Google+ and Google Maps.
“MASPark has so much to offer. We’re a valuable resource in Scott County, and we attract hundreds of people from outside Southern Indiana, too,” said Joe Pearson, Ed.D., executive director of MASPark. “By inviting online visitors to go inside, from anywhere in the world, we’re expanding our reach exponentially and giving others an opportunity to see the kind of top quality facility we have here in Scottsburg.”
The Business View tour gives event planners and others the opportunity to explore meeting and conference rooms before they get to MASPark. The Worldwide Communications & Conference Center is equipped with audiovisual resources to facilitate real-time, global communication from anywhere in the facility. With various meeting rooms and courtyards, MASPark can accommodate groups from just a few to up to 300 people.
Employers and students can also access MASPark’s Training and Workforce Development Center via the virtual tour, including the new Ivy Tech Welding Institute. The center offers students of all ages ample opportunity to study and earn sought-after certifications in progressive fields.
Knowing businesses that have implemented Business View report higher click-through rates to their websites from Google Search, MASPark looks forward to introducing the science park to new audiences. Among notable Business View users is Chrysler, which launched the first virtual auto factory tour using the technology in September to promote the 2015 Chrysler 200.
